attribute NC_GLOBAL history String The sampling campaigns were conducted in the Brøgger Peninsula, near the village of Ny-Ålesund in Svalbard, Norway. The experimental site is a high-arctic polar semi-desert underlain by continuous permafrost, located near the Climate Change Tower (CCT). Fresh leaf samples of the dwarf shrubs Dryas octopetala and Salix polaris were collected repeatedly during the peak of the growing season (July) from 2021 to 2024.
